The goal of our Festival is to be an annual festival in the fall to celebrate, educate and showcase music over 3 days. It will consist of Live Music Showcases from artists around the region at night, Music Industry Educational SeminarsPanels

During the day and VIP Happy Hours for Networking. All events will be held The New Haven Hotel.

The Elm City Music project is the collaborative brainchild of a diverse group of music professionals brought together by producerexec Vic Steffens or Horizon Music Group and Elm City MusicUniversal of West Haven, CT. Drawing on experiences of various conferencesfestivals, Steffens has assembled a seasoned group of pros from diverse backgrounds, including Brian Cronin, owner of Mirror Image Media and publisher of THAT MAG, from Philadelphia, Michael Caplan, former Sr. VP at Sony Music and head of Elm City Music and Jim Thorpe of DVT Events, also of Philadelphia

The goals of this event are essential: Education, networking and performance. This conference seeks to bring established professionals together with talented and motivated up and coming artists to create paths of career advancement. To this end The University of New Haven, with its multiple music degree tracks, has been enlisted, as well as Sennheiser, makers of world-class audio equipment, SSA Publishing, a unique boutique-publishing house and Horizon. Additional sponsors will be announced in upcoming press releases. Panels are currently being assembled to cover topics of concern for all professionals, as well as a “Super Panel” to discuss the future of our rapidly changing industry.

The daytime events are dedicated to education; several networking events in the early evenings and the nighttime will offer the opportunity to catch some of the regions hottest acts. The Elm City Music Festival offers networking opportunities for musicians to meet and partner with like minded groups to increase touring opportunities.
